Campaign: Reporting Point Unlimited Voting

The question
In the Netherlands, you can vote if you have Dutch nationality and are 18 years old or older. Yet there are plenty of other voting barriers for people with disabilities. What if the polling station is not wheelchair-proof? Or if you have a long-term illness or are visually impaired? That’s why the Human Rights Board is launching the Unrestricted Voting Hotline. Its purpose? To collect experiences and to ensure that these issues become visible. In this way the Board wants to draw the attention of a broad audience to the problem. It was up to De Wolven to collect experiences and to set up a Facebook and PR campaign.

Our actions

  • Devising the campaign slogan ‘Still too many electoral barriers for people with disabilities’;

  • Creating and executing a Facebook ad campaign.
