Free publicity in Utrecht for art and culture festival Berliner Garten at RAUM

Berliner Garten is an outdoor festival featuring “the best of Berlin. The event is dedicated to the open and relaxed atmosphere of the German capital. Visitors can stroll along the stalls at Utrecht’s Le Bazarre (floh) market, dance along during a Dabke workshop, and watch a grand kite demonstration. Why Berlin? For RAUM, this city is an example of social and dynamic city life, where the squares, parks and streets are fully used by the inhabitants of the city. It is up to De Wolven to bring the festival to the attention of the public.

Approach

The main target group for the festival are people living in and around Utrecht. The focus was therefore mainly on regional and local media. In addition, we searched for suitable outlets in print and online lifestyle media.

Result

The project has yielded beautiful publications, including Nu.nl, AD, Duic, Indebuurt and Grazia have paid attention to the event. The result was 5000 curious visitors who came to take a look at the first edition of the cultural outdoor festival Berliner Garten.

The arts and culture festival is a beautiful (and low-key) way to bring people from different backgrounds together and engage in conversation.
