Week of the Circular Economy 2020

From Monday 1 to Saturday 6 February 2021 it is time again: the Week of Circular Economy. For the sixth time in a row the Acceleration House Netherlands Circular! organizes this campaign week, to take professionals to a circular future. Mission: The Netherlands circular in 2050. How do you make sure that in one week you inspire as many entrepreneurs as possible and take them along in the transition? That good examples get a stage and starters get concrete tools to get started with circular entrepreneurship? And that the circle gets bigger every year?

Approach: don’t talk the talk, but walk the walk

During the Week of the Circular Economy 2020, no less than 225 events were organized by 180 organizations. With lectures, workshops, tours, networking events and advisory talks throughout the country, the entrepreneurial Netherlands demonstrated how the circular economy works in practice. The most innovative projects and organizations were honored with a real Circular Award. Spread across the country, start-ups and pioneers gathered in regional hubs to learn from each other. In the press and on social media, entrepreneurs shared their stories of experience and concrete tips to inspire others to take the next steps as well.

'In the transition to a fully circular economy by 2050, there are still considerable steps to be taken. This can be overwhelming, but every step - big or small - contributes to the acceleration. For six years in a row, the Week of the Circular Economy has shown the power of connection and stories. Proud to have been part of it for years.'
