Free publicity for brewery De Goede & De Stoute

The new Dutch brewery De Goede & De Stoute won prizes at the World Beer Awards and the International Beer Challenge this summer with their first beer ‘Vuurzee’. Both beer competitions are among the largest professional beer competitions in the world. It is up to De Wolven to bring these great achievements to the attention of the right media.

Approach: reaching the media with the right hook

Besides winning two prestigious awards with their first (!) beer, De Goede & De Stoute had a crowdfunding campaign running. Through this campaign it was possible to obtain shares in the brewery, and thus become co-owner. De Wolven drafted a press release in which both messages were put forward in the right way, after which it was widely distributed to appropriate trade media and beer bloggers.

Result: publications in trade media and a successful crowdfunding campaign

The new beer was well received! The brewery was able to count on publicity in various trade media, such as Entree Magazine (the platform for the hospitality industry), HorecaVizier, Horecatrends, hospitality industry magazine Gastronomie and Biernet. Double celebration: the brewery has raised €90,500 with their crowdfunding campaign and has therefore amply met their target. A successful campaign!
