An inspiration session on how best to communicate a sustainable message in the media

On January 19 De Wolven, together with Circl, is organizing the inspiration session ‘Circular successes in the media’, as part of the Week of the Circular Economy. During this session we will discuss how to strike the right chord with communication, and thus encourage people to behave in a sustainable way. Sustainability journalist Evert Nieuwenhuis and climate psychologist Manu Busschots explain how to best communicate a sustainable message in the media.

A positive message leads to sustainable behavior
Telling positive stories about sustainability through media channels is an important aspect when it comes to changing behavior. In addition, communication is crucial for the visibility of your company, brand or product. The inspiration session ‘Circular successes in the media’ helps companies and organizations to bring their sustainable message to the attention.

Manu Busschots
Manu Busschots is a climate psychologist and founder of the Climate Conversations Foundation. During the inspiration session, he and Bianca van Walbeek will start off with a workshop on the psychology behind communicating a sustainable message. The emphasis is on designing positive stories to entice the audience to behave in a sustainable way.

Evert Nieuwenhuis
Evert Nieuwenhuis is a journalist and columnist. He is an expert in the field of sustainability and economy and writes for Vrij Nederland, de Volkskrant and De Correspondent, among others. During the inspiration session he will discuss the do’s and don’ts when telling a sustainable message to the media. De Wolven will follow this up with tips and concrete tools to make the positive message visible.
