Discover the world of circularity with the Circl podcast
For Circl, knowledge sharing is paramount. In the circular clubhouse on the Amsterdam Zuidas, meetings, workshops and knowledge sessions are organized, tours are given and inspiring exhibitions are on display. All with the aim of moving society towards a sustainable world. With the help of De Wolven, podcasts have now also been added as a means of communication. The popularity of podcasts in the Netherlands makes it an ideal medium for introducing a larger audience to the opportunities of circularity in an accessible way.
Approach: knowledge sharing is key
Getting to know inspiring, different-thinking entrepreneurs, scientists and creative people who are contributing in their own way to a sustainable world. That’s where the idea for the ‘Circl podcast’ started. From concept, direction and script to execution and editing – together with Circl and audio engineer Hens Zimmerman we developed a series of episodes that each month would focus on a different theme. A joint experiment in which sharing knowledge is key for all parties.
Result: everything starts with design
The first three episodes on design were launched during Dutch Design Week. How do designers and artists apply circularity and sustainability without making concessions on aesthetics and quality? Other themes covered include; the fashion industry, taking the next step and the environmental impact of online shopping. The podcast reached over a hundred subscribers shortly after launch and is growing in popularity with each new episode.
