11.000 schools in the Netherlands and Belgium play the Great Alfie Werewolf Reading Quiz

Bol.com and publishers Zwijsen and Leopold are tackling language deficiencies in a playful way.
Today the launch of the Big Dolfje Weerwolfje Read Quiz takes place at over 11.000 elementary schools in the Netherlands and Belgium. More than 45.000 reading quizzes were delivered to these schools, allowing children to work on their language development in a playful way. This is especially important now, because many children have suffered from a language deficiency due to corona in the past year, because they were temporarily unable to attend school. Especially for the launch of the Reading Quiz a Dolfje Weerwolfje Taaljournaal was developed in cooperation with writer Paul van Loon. Children can watch this newsreel today together with their teachers in the classroom before they play the Reading Quiz together. De Grote Dolfje Weerwolfje Leesquiz is an initiative of the bol.com bollebozen and publishers Zwijsen and Leopold.
The Large Dolfje Weerwolfje Read Quiz is intended for children aged seven and older, who can play the game in small groups. Besides questions about the world of Dolfje Weerwolfje, the cards also contain questions intended to increase reading skills and there are challenge questions that almost anyone can perform.
Jori Ebskamp, lead CSR & sustainability at bol.com: “With this game we want to stimulate reading pleasure at an early age. In this way we can combat language deficiencies, with the result that children perform better at school and have a better chance of getting their dream job in the future. We are thrilled to see that so many schools in the Netherlands and Belgium are so committed and have ordered the free Reading Quiz.”
Bol.com scholars

This new community of bol.com employees, partners and social organizations is committed to combating language disadvantage and the lack of digital skills in children; factors that lead to social inequality. The first initiative of the bol.com fellows is the Grote Dolfje Weerwolfje Leesquiz, which was developed with publishers Zwijsen and Leopold. All elementary school in the Netherlands and Flanders could request the game for free.
