Circular successes in the media: this is how your research stands out | 23 March 2018

The media climate has changed rapidly in recent years so that free publicity no longer always comes naturally. Unless, of course, your story is really newsworthy. An important part of this is the use of research, because a striking result can generate a lot of media attention. But beware: journalists are critical. So the question is:
What does good research meet and how do you use it as a successful PR tool?
De Wolven will provide the answer during an inspiration session at Circl. Together with Jim Jansen, editor-in-chief at New Scientist and Henk Hofstede, researcher and trend watcher at ABN-AMRO, we’ll talk about the importance of research and what it needs to do to be interesting to the media. In addition, De Wolven will give you tips and concrete tools that you can use afterwards to bring your research to the attention of the media.
Date: Friday, March 23
Time: 15:00-17:15 hrs with drinks afterwards
Venue: Circl, Amsterdam
Program:
– Jim Jansen: Editor in Chief New Scientist
– Henk Hofstede: trend watcher ABN AMRO
– Leonne van de Ven, De Wolven
